STYLE PROFILE 004: Camille Waechter
Style Profiles is a series on Matcha Had Me highlighting my amazing friends and their incredible senses of style. Someone's style says so much about them – from what they're into, how they choose to present themselves and really show who they are. I love supporting those I care about, so this is a chance to showcase all their best lewks and learn more a little about them.

For our fourth edition of Style Profiles, I chose to feature my good friend, Camille Waechter. I’ve known Camille since my freshman year of college, and our bond has only gotten stronger as time has passed. We used to joke that we were life twins because we always were unintentionally ending up in the same places: college major, sorority, abroad program, internships at the same company, etc.
What I admire about Camille’s style is that cool girl, dgaf flair she adds. She can turn the simplest of lewks into something so chic, and her festival wear is always funky and fresh. And although she has recently become a dog mom, she’s not letting little Leo hold her back (too much).

MHM: How would you describe your personal style?
CW: When I’m feelin’ myself: classic and understated
When i’m not: boring
What’s one item in your closet you can’t live without?
Hoops! ...and bralettes...and sunglasses.
What's your go-to outfit?
High-rise jeans, cropped sweater, booties/sneakers. All black.

Do you have motto when it comes to your style or how you choose to dress?
Invest in clothes that will stay in style forever, and build current trends around those pieces.
What fashion or style advice would you give to your younger self?
Just cuz you’re hair is curly does NOT mean Shirley Temple’s haircut is for you!!! (moreso a note to my mom, I blame her for that tragedy)
Favorite outfit or two you’ve ever worn?
The red shag cardigan I wore to OSL this year, and my Selena halloween costume.
What’s your favorite trend right now?
Sneakers with crew socks, track pants/joggers.
And one you can't stand?
The weird tiny sunglasses that Kim K keeps wearing.
And just cause I have to ask, what’s your favorite matcha item?
Matcha cookie with white chocolate chips from Stonehill Matcha in ~the Mission~.
