MATCHASOUNDS 018: JANUARY 2020

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I’m actually super stoked to take on this new year.  As you know, 2019 crushed me, but like a phoenix and Porsha Williams, I have risen (bye, ashes!).   Although I’m still fighting a hangover from a few days in New Orleans, I couldn’t be more excited to take on this new year.

Looking back thru the lessons I learned in 2019, I have a clearer sense of who I am, what I want and who I choose to surround myself with.  I’m trying to put positivity first and focus on the good in life.  Obviously, this is easier some days than other, but it’s something I’m hoping to constantly practice.

I don’t really like to set resolutions because I feel like they’re a little dumb (lol), and I have a hard time remembering to keep up with them.  Also, I’m hella lazy, soooooooooo.  I like to set more of like big picture goals that I can act on every day.

  • I’m going to continue to practice more positivity and gratitude in my life.

  • I’m going to rid myself of things, people, places and experiences that do not serve me.

  • I am going to tell people I appreciate them more than I do now.

  • I’m going to hold myself and others accountable.

  • I’m going to have fun and not take anything too seriously.

I made a playlist to kick off the year with some very happy, charging, relaxing and slightly psychedelic chunes.   It opens with probably one of my favorite artists of 2019, LSDREAM, and features some of my other favorites from Yheti, charlesthefirst, Flume and more.

I hope that this selection of tracks energizes your days, helps you recenter and inspires you to make this the best year yet.  See you in February!
